Privacy

The short version: Eksplore is anonymous by design. No account, no cookies, no profiles. We don't know who you are — and we'd like to keep it that way.

What we process

Journey queries. When you search, your origin, destination and time budget are sent to our server, which asks the open European routing service Transitous for routes. Your IP address is not forwarded to them — only our server talks to theirs. Queries are not stored or linked to you.

Hosting logs. The site runs on Vercel, whose infrastructure processes IP addresses in standard server logs (legitimate interest, short retention), under Vercel's EU data processing terms.

Anonymous statistics. We count page views and feature use (like how often “Surprise me” is pressed) with Vercel Analytics — cookie-free and anonymous. We can see that someone planned a trip to Zandvoort; we cannot see who.

What stays on your device

Your home and work stations, your last-used origin and your saved journeys are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to us. Clear your browser data and they're gone.

What we don't do

No accounts. No cookies. No advertising. No profiling. No selling or sharing of data. No third-party trackers.

Your rights & contact

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you — the honest answer today is “nothing identifiable.” For any privacy question, contact: avanviegen29@gmail.com. Eksplore is operated from the Netherlands. If this policy changes (for example if optional accounts are ever introduced), this page changes first.
